Geraldton Western Australia - Fishing

Other Geraldton land based fishing spots are Point Moore and Separation Point which are good locations for whiting and herring.

The Batavia Coast Marina and the Fishermen’s Wharf are popular bream fishing spots. The Greenough River mouth is particularly popular for a wide variety of catches such as bream, mulloway, flat head, tailor and herring.

Fishing Charter Boats - Geraldton has a number of fishing charter boat operators that provide their own secret fishing locations offshore, around Geraldton and the Abrolhos Islands.

Balchin Grouper, Dhu fish, Coral Trout, Pink Snapper, Yellowfin Tuna, Big Eye Tuna and a large variety of Mackerel species are caught in the waters off Geraldton including many other tropical and temperate fish species.

It is possible to visit the reefs of the Abrolhos Islands to fish, swim, snorkel and dive in this diverse and colourful underwater environment or to simply fly over the islands in a light aircraft.
